ON THE SAND
I sit on the sand
Thinking, will I ever be able to stand?
Stand alone all night long no one there
to hold my hand.
A tear falls to the sand
As I try to stand the waves crash in front of me
Another tear falls
I can't give up I say
I have to keep trying
I have to ask myself
Will I ever stand?
My Heart says yes
And I feel I will and I know
I know some day that I will stand.
I'm in a standing position
Seems the world is all around now
Clapping and smiling
I am thinking hmmmmmmm
Why weren't you here when
I needed you the most?
Then my answer came oh so quickly
You had to stand up on your own!
No ones help but yourself
I made it!!
I knew someday I would stand.
