The lonesome man has no one that cares,
His dreams and needs are empty and bare,
His waking hours are filled with grief,
He searches for someone to share his beliefs.
He can be in a crowd and still feel alone,
He will fake a smile to hide a moan,
A great pretender when company drops in,
His empty heart is his mortal sin.
He's full of love and wanting to give,
A loving woman would make him live,
When he's depressed, his feelings he'll dread,
Often he wishes that he could be dead.
He tosses and turns in bed each night,
Wishing he could die and not have to fight,
Hating to get out of bed each day,
Feeling lost 'cause the world looks grey.
He falls in love often but then gets burned,
It's a one-sided love and he hasn't learned,
His feelings he'll hide with a tear in his eye,
Wishing it wasn't unmanly to cry.
Wanting to die and feeling so weak,
As a coward, he refuses to speak,
A heart full of sorrow, a wish he'll make,
To fall asleep and never awake.

Love is a feeling that makes you soar,
And makes your heart beat with a roar,
It can also be fickle and make you weep,
It can give you hurt and make you lose sleep.
A feeling of beauty that's so serene,
You feel that nothing can come between,
Then fate steps in and strikes a blow,
That makes you feel lost and really low.
True love grows stronger each and every day,
And all that your dreams are trying to say,
Is devotion and trust will play a big part,
And give you happiness with each beat of your heart.
Love makes you smile and gives you a lift,
It can make you feel better like a beautiful gift,
When your mind has no doubts about your mate,
Then you've got no reason not to feel great.
Love's the feeling that makes the world go around,
A musical feeling, a very beautiful sound,
Your heart's all a'flutter, with a smile on your face,
The rest of the world has been put in its place.

CRYING
by Cynthis Cornelson
I can't seem to stop
It just flows
you hurt me too much
and now I'm alone.
I tried to stop it
to make it alright
but you didn't seem
to want it that way.
I loved you so much
but I can't go on
hurting like this
anymore.
The way we clicked
is going to be missed
but the hurt you cost
won't be.
I will love you always
and forever again
but my crying
has to stop.

HIM and HER ...by Cynthia Cornelson
She looks out at the sky,
wondering,
how her life got this way,
parents hate her, all alone at school,
she remembers,
her popular and pretty self,
she gave it all up,
for him,
the tears and pain he caused her,
she never saw,
only the good things she got out of it.
Now she knows, and understands,
why they warned her.
But it is now too late,
she's sealed her fate,
and it's too late for I'm sorries,
she wishes there was but knows different,
'cause that's what you get
for drinking and driving.
